The International Physicians Assessment Coalition (IPAC) is a collaboration of people involved in the performance assessment of physicians and the remediation of doctors who are found to be performing poorly. This international forum offers the opportunity to inform, review, challenge and encourage development in this area. Sharing experiences and information contributes to the development of robust processes to identify and manage doctors in difficulty. IPAC held its first meeting in Wellington, New Zealand in 2001 and continues to meet on an annual basis.
